Weston McKennie 2025-26
Power, aggression, and the ability to score from anywhere — Weston McKennie is the American midfielder who made Italy his home and made history at Juventus. In 2025-26, based in Turin, McKennie continues to be one of Serie A’s most complete midfielders and the USMNT’s engine room heading into the World Cup.
The McKennie Story
History Maker at Juventus
When Weston McKennie joined Juventus from Schalke in 2020, he became a trailblazer — one of the first Americans to play regularly in the Old Lady’s midfield. He made history as the first American to score at the Allianz Stadium, and his powerful headed goals became a signature. Playing alongside stars like Dybala, Chiellini and Bonucci, McKennie rapidly earned the respect of Italian football.
Serie A’s American Workhorse: 2025-26
In 2025-26, McKennie remains in Turin as a key part of the Juventus squad. His box-to-box style, high work rate and ability to contribute in both penalty areas make him invaluable. He scores goals that other midfielders would miss — towering headers, arriving late in the box, long-range efforts — and his defensive contributions are equally important to Juve’s pressing game.
USMNT Engine Room: World Cup 2026
Born in Little Elm, Texas on 28 August 1998, McKennie brings a physicality and mentality to the USMNT that the squad needs. Alongside the technical quality of Pulisic, Musah and Reyna, McKennie provides the steel in midfield. With the 2026 World Cup on home soil, he is determined to deliver his best performances on the biggest stage American sport has ever hosted.
